Morris Clyde Keddy
Morris Clyde Keddy - 99, of Aylesford, Kings County, passed away Friday, July 11, 2014 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Aylesford, he was a son of the late Robert Ainsley and Helen "Nellie" Jane (Turner) Keddy. He was employed at Master Feeds and the canning factory, both in Aylesford. Passionate about farming, he, along with his wife, Bertha, farmed the family farm in Aylesford for 75 years. During this time he also did custom and veterinary work for other farmers in the area and enjoyed hunting. Morris was also a member of St. Mary's Anglican Church, Auburn. He will be deeply missed by his children, Brian (Linda), Aylesford; Jean Schofield, Bridgewater; Stewart (Beryl), Lower Sackville; grandchildren, Shawn, Jason, Mark, Scott, Charlene and Michael; two great granddaughters, Sydney and Keaton; three sisters, Esther Chute, Berwick; Florence Carter, Somerset; Marguerite Field, New Minas; two brothers, Dorn, Aylesford; Alden (Linda), Berwick. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Bertha Lutz; three brothers, Alfred, Gordon and Henry; a son-in-law, Gerald Schofield. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2014 in Christ Anglican Church Hall, Berwick. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014 in Christ Anglican Church, Berwick, Reverend Ruby Carter officiating. A private family burial will take place in St. Mary's Anglican Cemetery, Auburn. Following the burial, a reception will be held in Christ Anglican Church Hall, Berwick. Family flowers only, by request. Donations in memory may be made to the charity of your choice. A special thank-you to Dr. Mercer and the nurses and staff at the Valley Regional Hospital. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
