Archie William "Junior" Boyd

 Archie William "Junior" Boyd - 52, of Black River Lake, Kings County, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at home. Born in Wolfville, he was a son of Archie Boyd, Hantsport and Carol Sheffield, New Minas. He had been employed with Michelin, Waterville. He was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed the outdoors and was a wildlife enthusiast. He was a member of the Annapolis Valley Gun Club, was an avid hunter, fisherman and trapper and he especially enjoyed biking, snowmobiling, the camp, his woodlot, their island and spending time at the lake. Junior liked to help others, was dedicated to his family and listened to country music. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Tonee (Brown) Boyd; two daughters, Carla (John) Andersen, Gaspereau; Whitney Boyd (Nathan Atwell), Mt. Denson; two sisters, Marlene Ruff and Donna Boyd, both of Edmonton, Alberta; a brother, Christopher Boyd (Cathy Burns), Canning; three grandchildren, Dakota and Cayden Andersen, Cohen Atwell; nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation by request. The funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 15, 2014 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Ellen Hunt officiating. A private family burial will take place in the Gaspereau Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
