Carl St. Clair Brown

Carl St. Clair Brown - 74, of Kentville, formerly of Wentworth, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2014 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Scott's Bay, he was a son of the late Rufus and Stella (Tupper) Brown. He was retired, having worked in sheet metal, construction and carpentry in Nova Scotia, Alberta, Toronto and Russia. He had been a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union. He enjoyed playing pool and crib and going to the Old English Tavern. He is survived by his former wife, Marion (Patriquin), Wentworth; a son, Dwayne Brown (Stacy Wessell), Chelsea; a sister, Barbara MacDonald, Scott's Bay; a brother, Avard (Grace) Brown, Cambridge, Ontario; a granddaughter, Jasey Brown, Springhill; two sisters-in-law, Edith (Brown) Ritchie, South Ohio; Lillian Brown, North Alton; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Trevor Brown; three brothers, Ernest Brown, Maurice Brown and Merville Brown; a brother-in-law, Frank MacDonald. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2014 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 6, 2014. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Scott's Bay Union Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
