Evelyn "Rosalie" Rafuse
1937-2014
Evelyn "Rosalie" Rafuse - 77, of the Wolfville Nursing Home, formerly of Aldershot, Kings County, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2014 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. She was born on August 11, 1937 in Canning, Kings County. She was a homemaker who dedicated her life to her family, her church and her community. She was a member of Bethany Memorial Baptist Church, where she was active with the Auxiliary. She is survived by two sons, Gary (Charlotte), New Minas; Brian (Kathy), Centreville; three grandchildren, Andrew (Patti Neice) Rafuse, Mellisa (Chris) Pulsifer and Kerrie Rafuse; a great grandchild, Kailey Pulsifer; a sister, Phyllis (Silvio) Spillone, Ontario; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Rafuse; two sisters, Shirley Schofield and Jessie Kane. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2014 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 6, 2014, Reverend Thelma McLeod officiating. Burial will take place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, Kings County. Donations in memory may be made to Bethany Memorial Baptist Church, the Alzheimer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
