Margaret Jean Parker

The family of Margaret Jean Parker wish to announce her death on September 12, 2014. Marg was born in Westchester Station on September 23, 1916 to Spencer and Matilda Mattatall. She was predeceased by an infant son, her husband, Keith (in 1982), her sisters, Marion Giddens and Harriet Lavers and her brother, Logan Mattatall. She is survived by her son, Chris (Jeannine Curry), Wilmot and many nieces and nephews, all of whom were special to her. Thank you Dr. David Nunn for your kindness and compassion. Marg lived in the Hallmark Manor for more than 30 years. Many family and friends passed through its doors to her apartment. Special thanks to Valerie and Stella whose care allowed her to stay in her home. She was a long time member of the United Church of Canada and IODE. She was a very social person; always interested in family, friends, community and world affairs to the end. She loved flowers. A family graveside ceremony will be held at a later date at the Robie Street Cemetery, Truro, Nova Scotia. Donations in Marg’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
