Douglas Stephen Himmelman

Himmelman, Douglas Stephen - Age 75 of New Minas passed away at the Valley Regional Hospital on Sunday, September 14, 2014. Born in Bridgewater, he was the eldest son of the late Clinton and Doris (Veinot) Himmelman. Doug worked in the insurance business for 40 years until his retirement,  five years ago. He is survived by his wife, Donna Lee (Reiser); his children, Stephanie Lundrigan (Glenn), Richard (Patricia) and Peter (Loreley); nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Dorothy, Edythe and Anne; brother Brian; several nieces and nephews. There will be an informal sharing of memories at the home of his daughter (31 Wedgewood Ave., Halifax, NS) on Saturday, September 20, 1-4 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Canada or to a charity of choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
