Violet Mae Keddy

Violet Mae Keddy - 84, of Kentville, passed away peacefully with Kathy and Charlie by her side on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at their home in Port Williams.  Born in Ellershouse, she was a daughter of the late George and Anabelle (Brown) Wile and foster daughter of the late Flora Hennigar. A loving mother and grandmother, she enjoyed being a homemaker and loved to bake. She also enjoyed puzzles and TV Bingo. She is survived by a daughter, Kathy (Charlie), Port Williams, two sons, Brian (Shirley), Cambridge; Kevin, Kentville; a brother, Donald; a sister, Norma; five grandchildren, Melissa, Debbie, Felicia, Jason and Jeffrey; several great grandchildren. She was predeceased by Frank Keddy; a sister, Gladys; two brothers, Burton and Ralph. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 27, 2014 in Christ Anglican Church Cemetery, New Ross, Reverend Judith Phillips officiating. Donations in memory may be made to the Annapolis Valley Victorian Order of Nurses. The family would like to express their thanks to Dr. David Nunn, the Palliative Care team and the VON for their care, kindness and compassion. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
