Catherine "Judy" Lombard

1945-2014

Catherine "Judy" Lombard

Catherine "Judy" Lombard - 68, of Medford, Kings County, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on October 3, 2014 at home. Born in Kentville, she was a daughter of the late William and Jean (DeWolfe) Lombard. She was a very kind and caring person with a quiet and giving nature. She never liked to be the centre of attention or to be made a fuss over. Judy was an avid sports woman, who loved playing basketball, softball and ball hockey. She took great pride in her vegetable garden and tending her stand so neighbours and friends would have fresh vegetables. Judy worked hard at the Century Farm, keeping lawns and flower gardens immaculate. We all have treasured memories with Judy at the family cottage in Medford. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends who loved her dearly. She is survived by sisters, Ellen Hill, Canning and Nancy (Fred) Pemberton, Windsor; brothers, Bill (Barb), Medford, Joe, Canard and Richard (Mary-Jane), Wolfville; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Sheila; sisters-in-law, Maroeska and Donna Lombard. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2014 with prayers to be held at 7:45 p.m. both in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. The funeral service, followed by a reception will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2014 in the St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, Canning, Father John MacPherson officiating. Burial will take place in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Kentville. Family flowers only by request.
