Deanna Mary Waholl

Deanna Mary (Gee) Waholl - age 71, of Kentville. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a loving mother, nana, sister, aunt and friend on October 4, 2014. Born in Leeds, England, Deanna was the only daughter of the late Leonard and Evelyn Gee. Retiring in 1997, Deanna had worked at the Kentville Research Station and the Provincial Law Courts where she made many great friends. She spent countless hours supporting her grandchildren in their sports and activities, rug hooking, reading, walking Miner’s Marsh, volunteering at the Food Bank and enjoying time with the many special people in her life. She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne (Bill); brothers, Michael (Linda), John (Joan), Peter (Sharon), Ronnie (Teresa) and Derek (Angela); grandchildren, Zachary and Sophie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their children who she adored. She was predeceased by her brother, David. Deanna will be remembered for her sense of humor, as well as the love and never ending support she gave to her family and her friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, especially her daughter and grandchildren. In keeping with Deanna’s wishes, her body has been donated to the Dalhousie Medical School. Cremation will take place at a later date. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, October 10, 2014 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. Donations in Deanna’s memory can be made to the Fundy Food Bank or the Kentville Library. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
