Eleanor Phyllis Pudsey

Eleanor Phyllis Pudsey - 66, of New Minas, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Wolfville, she was a daughter of the late Hugh and Phyllis (Davies) Pudsey. She was a graduate of Mack Business College and was employed as a secretary with Radio Shack, New Minas, the United Church of St. Paul and St. Stephen, Kentville (where she was an active member) and Sanisteam Laundry, Wolfville. She enjoyed bowling, curling, cribbage and board games. She also belonged to seniors groups in Kentville and New Minas and was a member of the New Minas Parkinson's Support Group. Eleanor had a great sense of humour and loved animals, especially cats and dogs. A devoted daughter, she spent many years caring for her parents, Hugh and Phyllis. She is survived by three sisters, Carole Butt, Halifax; Jane Ford (Blake Hughes), Calgary; Kimberly (Tim) Davison, Georgetown, Ontario; a brother, Lorne (Judy), Grande Prairie, Alberta; four nephews, Jeffrey (Abby Knull) and Stephen Pudsey, Nicholas Davison (Kayla Dickinson) and Brandon Davison; sister of the heart, cousin Ardythe Huntley, Cambridge. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2014 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Pastor Dorothy Huntley officiating. Burial will take place in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Kentville. Family flowers only, by request. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Parkinson's Foundation of Canada, the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Kentville New Horizons Club. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
