Randall G. Lyons

Randall G. Lyons - 88, of Blomidon, Kings County, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2014 in Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville. Born in Blomidon, he was a son of the late Guy and Ruth (Greene) Lyons. He was a life-long farmer with a love for the outdoors. He had a great sense of humour, enjoyed a good joke and liked to tease people. He loved animals, especially dogs and enjoyed hunting and 4-wheeling. He is survived by his wife, the former Marion Holt; three daughters, Laura Flynn, Donna (Robert) Gammon and Deanna (Darrell) Lyons; two sons, Garfield (Donna) and Bill (Susan); a son-in-law, Jeff Fraser; 15 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Susan Fraser; a sister, Mabel DeWitt; a brother, Forrest. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2014 in the Pereaux Baptist Church, Pereaux, Kings County, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2014. Reverend Michael Veenema and Reverend Howard McCormick officiating. Burial will take place in the Houston Beach Cemetery, Blomidon. Donations in memory may be made to the Pereaux Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.
