Michael Layton "Mike" Creelman

Michael Layton "Mike" Creelman, CD, WO Retired - 69, of Berwick, NS, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family at his side on Thursday, October 16, 2014. He was the son of the late Richard and Shirley (Brown) Creelman. He was born in Truro and moved to Hantsport in 1956, where he made life-long friends. He was an avid hockey player and a life-long Bruins fan. He served in the Canadian Armed Forces from 1966-2005 having been posted to Shearwater, Oromocto, and Greenwood, from where he retired. He was passionate about hunting and fishing, cottage life and vacations south. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Dorothy (Donnelly); son, Parker Courtney (Karen Tofflemire), Dartmouth; loving daughter, Michelle (Calvin Millett), Port Williams; precious granddaughters, Jessica (Mike Porter) Coldbrook; Jennifer, at home; uncle, Paul (Shirley) Creelman, Regina; nephew, Mark (Monica) Croft, North Range; niece, Cindy Schofield, Sherbrook Lake. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Carol and her husband, Peter Croft and his beloved Stormie. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2014 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Tom Woods officiating. Burial will take place in the River Bank Cemetery, Hantsport. Family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to The Lodge That Gives or the charity of your choice.
