Shawncey Patrea "Michelle" Johnson

Shawncey Patrea "Michelle" Johnson - 33, of Sydney, Cape Breton, passed away suddenly as the result of a motor vehicle accident on Saturday, December 27, 2014 in New Victoria, Cape Breton. Born in Kentville, she was a daughter of Charlene Gould, Sydney and Terry (Shelley) Johnson, Porters Lake. She attended Community College in Cape Breton and was a kind and loving mother. She had a great personality and enjoyed helping others. In her younger years, she enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially camping with family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sons, Dakota and Nathan, at home; two sisters, Ashley Gould and Jessica Gould, both of Sydney; two brothers, A.J. Johnson and Cody Johnson (Zatora Hines), both of Porters Lake; maternal grandparents, Elaine Wall, Cambridge and Dennis Gould, Black Rock; paternal grandparents, Sandra Hackett, Porters Lake and Cecil Johnson, Dartmouth; paternal step-grandmother, Elaine Jackson, Canning; great grandmother, Kathleen Phillips, New Minas; special aunts, Lisa Gould, Berwick and Shelley Gould, Waterville; special uncle, Dennis Johnson, Dartmouth; step aunt, Polly Jackson, Dartmouth; two nephews, Cayden and Mason; many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by an uncle, Steven Gould; an aunt, Gail Johnson and step-grandfather, Gerald Jackson. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Thursday, January 1, 2015 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2015, Reverend Doctor Judith Saunders officiating. Burial will take place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, Kings County. Donations in memory may be made to the Autism Society of Cape Breton. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
