Jerry Gordon Bishop

Jerry Gordon Bishop - 78, of Greenwich, Kings County, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in White Rock, Kings County, he was a son of the late Abel and Lillian (Clooney) Bishop. He was a self-employed handyman. He enjoyed hunting deer, rabbits and especially raccoons. He is survived by a son, Gordon Jerry (Sue) Bishop, Winnipeg; a granddaughter, Tammy; a great granddaughter, Kerah; a sister, Marjorie Joyce Davidson Bishop, Greenwich, whom he loved very dearly; many great nephews, great nieces and friends who loved him very much. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Joyce (Dennis); an infant daughter, Tammy; two sisters, Jean Atwell and Freda Bishop King; a brother, Justin Bishop. His hospital room was full most of the time and his sister, who never left his side, was holding his hand when they said goodbye. He is going to be sadly missed by many. We love you. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2015 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Darryl Dykens officiating. Burial will take place in the Gaspereau Cemetery at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
