Aubrey Wade Hatt

Aubrey Wade Hatt - 56, of Kentville, went to be with his Saviour, suddenly but peacefully on Thursday, January 29, 2015 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born and raised in Oxford, he moved to the valley as a young man. He worked many odd jobs over the years but the one he took most pride in was "slapping on paint". No matter what he was doing, he was always singing. He always had kind words, or words of encouragement for everyone and if you had something to say, he would listen. Aubrey loved sports of all kinds but he loved the Toronto Blue Jays and especially the Toronto Maple Leafs. Win or lose, it was Go Leafs Go! They were "his" team. Aubrey is now in heaven with his mom, Myrna (Tupper) and his dad, Lorne. He leaves behind his soul mate, Evelean and "the pride of his life", his "legacy", his children, Trevor (Tashie), Joshua (Fan), Shane (Robin) and Patsy (Dwayne). He loved each of you unconditionally and was proud to be your "Father", "Papi", "Papa" and "Dad". To our many grandchildren and one great grandchild, you were Grampy's joy! Carry his love with you forever, he will always be with you. Aubrey also leaves behind his sisters, Mary, Lorna and Summer; his brothers, Shawn, Starr, Robin and Pete. Many stories were shared about each of you. You finally got to meet your angel girl. Say "thank you" from us all for without her, we wouldn't have you. We will always love you and miss you from here to eternity. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. with the funeral service following at 2:30 p.m. all in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Thelma McLeod officiating. Burial will take place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Donations in memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
