Lorimer Reginald Ellis Burns - 79, of Hamilton, Ontario, formerly of Kentville, Nova Scotia, passed away Monday, February 2, 2015 in Juravinski Hospital, Hamilton. Born in Middleton, Nova Scotia, he was a son of the late Ellis and Marie (Reese) Burns. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, the former Lorraine Creemer; two daughters, Paula (Darren) Milarchuk, Ontario; Anna (Sean) Chesney, Ontario; two sons, Jeffery Burns (Christina), Ontario; Scott Hill (Lynn), Ontario; a sister, Louise McLaughtin, Ontario; a brother, Raymond Burns (Beverly), Middleton; grandchildren, Meaghan Burns, Ontario; Darcy Hill, Alberta; Steven and Mark Burns, England; D.J. Milarchuk, Ontario; Justin Milarchuk, Ontario and Liam Chesney, Ontario. He was predeceased by two sisters, Mildred Connell and Doris Sherman; a grandson, Jesse Milarchuk. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, February 8, 2015 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 9, 2015, Reverend Virginia DeAdder officiating. Burial will take place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, Kings County, Nova Scotia. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Lung Association. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
