Thomas Charles Malin

Thomas Charles Malin - 67, of Kentville, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at home. Born in Kentville, he was a son of the late Francis and Lillian (Spencer) Malin. He had been employed in farming and also tended bar. He had been a Nova Scotia diving and swimming champion and represented Nova Scotia at events in Ontario and out west. He is survived by a daughter, Teresa Carol Blanchard (Brad Buckley), Edmonton; four sisters, Lorna (Brad Graves), Kentville; Laura Cochrane, Wolfville; Dorothy Martin, Oromocto; Lillian (Gerald) Schofield, Kentville; two brothers, Francis "Sparky" (Judy), Lower Sackville; Ralph, Berwick; two grandchildren, Erica and Ashley; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Albert. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2015 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Gary Manthorne officiating. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
