Marie "Alda" Comeau

Marie "Alda" Comeau - 82, of Kentville, passed away Friday, February 20, 2015 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Meteghan Station, she was a daughter of the late Joseph "Eddie" and Beatrice (Theriault) Deveau. She had been employed at Scotties Chip Plant and later Hostess Foods for 15 years. She operated the Kentville Volunteer Fire Department Canteen for many years. She enjoyed making scarves and attending various craft shows. She was a member of the Kentville Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the Kentville New Horizons Seniors. She is survived by two daughters, Tina (Brian) Stevens, Kentville; Theresa (Cory) Comeau-Raaymakers, Morristown; two sisters, Doris (Laurence) Theriault, Bangor; Emerise (Harold) German, Meteghan Station; two brothers, Gilbert (Marie Adéle), Bangor; Tony (Pam), Trenton, Ontario; two granddaughters, Jessica and Krystal; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Gerald Comeau; a sister, Celeste; a brother, Adolphe. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2015, Father Gerald Saulnier officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Kentville. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to the Kentville New Horizons Seniors. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
