Joseph Nicholas MacMillan

Joseph Nicholas "Joe" MacMillan - 75, Kentville, Kings Co., passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 21, 2015 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Arthur and Margaret (MacDonald) MacMillan. He is survived by his loving and devoted partner, Rose Croft; sisters, Joan (Bob) Redden and Helen Campbell; son, Brian (Peggy); daughter, Michelle (Terry); and five grandchildren, Nicholas, Joshua, Zachary, Elijah and Jacob; former wife, Margaret (Margeson) Purdy (Harold), Berwick.  He was predeceased by brothers, John (Jack), Richard and Donald; sister, Margaret. Never one to take life too seriously, Joe was a kind and caring man devoted to his children.  His happiest times were spent at Joe’s Kwikway in Steam Mill where it was never uncommon to see him carrying on with the neighborhood kids. Cremation has taken place. A private immediate family gathering will take place at a later date.  No funeral proceedings by request. Donations in memory may be made to the Annapolis Valley Victorian Order of Nurses or the Canadian Red Cross. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
