Cecil Leroy Haggerty

Cecil Leroy Haggerty - 49, formerly of Saxon Street, Centreville, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015 at home. Born in Kentville on August 16, 1965, he was a son of Florence (Coleman) Haggerty, Waterville and the late John Bud Haggerty. In his earlier years, he had been employed with Brookfield Foods, later working on the oil wells in Sexsmith, AB. Most recently he had been employed as a truck driver and farm labourer. Cecil loved spending time around bonfires with family and friends. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister, Glynis Carter, Berwick; a nephew, Thomas Carter, Kentville; a niece, Andrea (Mike) O'Connor-True, Centreville; a great niece, Alexa; a step-father, Robert "Bob" Whiston, Waterville. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. A celebration of his life for family and friends will be held from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the Centreville Community Centre. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Family flowers only, by request. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
