Marjorie Evelyn Wood

Marjorie Evelyn Wood - 91, formerly of Glenmont, Kings County and Centreville, Kings County, passed away Monday, March 16, 2015 in Shannex-Blomidon Court, Greenwich. Born in Somerset, Kings County, she was a daughter of the late Edwin and Ida (Burrell) Fisher. In her earlier years, she had been employed as a school teacher and later worked with Dominion Paper Products. She was a member of the West Hall's Harbour Baptist Church, the Centreville 50-Plus Club and the Pins and Needles Club. While living in Centreville, she also attended the Centreville Baptist Church. Marjorie was always involved in her community and loved to play cards, especially 45's. She is survived by a daughter, Sharen Wood, Toronto; two sons, Don (Muriel) Wood, South Alton; Bruce (Joy Banks) Wood, Centreville; a sister, Jean Spicer, Shannex-Blomidon Court; a brother, Fred Fisher, Kingston; four grandchildren, Trevor (Danalee) Wood, West Glenmont; Travis (Amy) Wood, South Alton; Jay (Jenna) Wood, Fawcett Hill, New Brunswick; Coleton Wood, Centreville; four great grandchildren, Isabella, Michael, Dylan and Carson. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert "Floyd" Wood; an infant son, Stephen; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Wood; two sisters, Nellie Clark and Isabel Avery; four brothers, William, Robert, Frank and George. There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2015 in the Centreville Baptist Church, Reverend Gerald Zinck and Reverend Michael Shreve officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in the Berwick Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the West Hall's Harbour Baptist Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
