Diane Dorothy Little

Diane Dorothy Little - 73, of Coldbrook, Kings County, passed away after a four year battle with Alzheimer's on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late John and Muriel (Chandler) Rondeau. Diane felt her greatest gift was embracing the Catholic Church at a young age. She will be missed by her many friends in the various church ministries she was involved in over the years, having been well known for her love, smile and hugs. She also enjoyed spending time in her gardens surrounded by the wonderful creations of nature. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Robert "Bud" Little; a daughter, Deneen (Brian) Shewan, Sackville; daughter-in-law, Magda Little, Ottawa; four brothers, John (June), Barry (Margie), Paul (Gloria) and Derrick (Brenda); a sister-in-law, Betty; grandchildren, Benjamin, Pascha, Halla and Aelsa; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Randal Scott Little; a brother, Clyde. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2015 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2015 in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Kentville, Father John MacPherson officiating. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall. Burial will take place at a later date in Serenity Gardens Cemetery, Centreville. Family flowers only, by request. Donations in memory may be made to the Valley Cardiac Rehab Society or the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia. Thanks to the staff at the Wolfville Nursing Home for the care and compassion shown to Diane during her short stay and to the professional care given to her at the Valley Regional Hospital ER and Medical B during her last days. A special thank you to Deb Mander for her friendship and gift of presence during this trying time.
