Grant William Clyde Lockhart

Grant William Clyde Lockhart - 61, of Kentville, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015 in the QEII Health Sciences Centre (VG Site), Halifax. Born in Hortonville, Kings County, he was a son of the late Austin and Gertrude (O'Brien) Lockhart. He grew up in Hortonville and loved swimming. He enjoyed peddling, especially vegetables. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is survived by his wife, the former Shirley Deveau; his step daughters, Cassidy and Kaitlyn; two sisters, Barb (Jack) Lowe, Cambridge and Pauline Lockhart, Kentville; two brothers, Lorimer (Nancy), North Alton and Lynn (Debbie), New Minas; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Dennis and Harold. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2015 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2015, Reverend Jerry Bezanson officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in the Lower Horton Cemetery, Grand Pré. Donations in memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
