Garry Wayne Alexa

Garry Wayne Alexa - 69, of Coldbrook, Kings County, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2015 at home. Born in Atikokan, ON, he was a son of the late Joseph and Vera (Campbell) Alexa. He had been employed with Acadia University as their Director of Human Resources, from where he retired. Garry enjoyed people, was a committed Christian and loved Jesus. He is survived by his wife, Joanne (Forbes); two sons, Matthew (Lauren MacDonald),  Halifax, NS; Brendan (Yaël), Oshawa, ON; three sisters, Donna (Bert) Brownsmith, Delta, BC; Kellee (Ernie) Durrant, Calgary, AB; Roxanne (Randy) Robertson, Prince George, BC; two brothers, Gerald (Shirley), Calgary, AB; Raymond, Thunder Bay, ON; twin grandsons, Grayson and Cameron; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Rick. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Friday, April 24, 2015 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. The funeral service and reception will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2015 in the New Covenant Community Church, Cambridge, Kings County, Pastor Bruce Patstone and Dr. John Roddam officiating. Donations in memory may be made to Lamb's Way Christian Ministries or Gospel for Asia - Canada. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
