June Modena MacDonald

June Modena MacDonald - 76, of New Minas, Kings County, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2015 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Canning, she was a daughter of the late Emmett and Beatrice (Ettinger) Carter. She had been employed with Hostess/Frito-Lay for 34 years and enjoyed playing bingo and bowling. She is survived by a daughter, Debbie (Allan) Neilson, Prince George, BC; three sons, Clarence MacDonald (Rene Keddy), Greenwich; Richard MacDonald (Karen Dugas), Canaan, Kings County; Trevor (Julie) MacDonald, Port Williams; two brothers, Thomas, White Rock; Emmett, Ontario; two grandchildren, Alyssa and Paige; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence MacDonald; a sister, Donna Dorey and brother, Ellis Carter. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2015 in St. John's Anglican Cemetery, Church Street, Port Williams. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
