Madeline Phyllis Parker

Madeline Phyllis Parker - 91, of Upper Canard, Kings County, passed away Monday, June 8, 2015 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Lakeville, Kings County, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Abigail (Kinsman) Porter. She enjoyed being a homemaker and was a member of First Cornwallis Baptist Church, Upper Canard as well as a life member of the Women's Missionary Society. She is survived by a step-son, Kenneth (Yvonne) Parker, Ontario; a son-in-law, Joe Lombard, Upper Canard; three grandchildren, Heather (Marty) Floris, Vanderhoof, British Columbia; Mark (Jennifer) Lombard, Corner Brook, Newfoundland; Chris Lombard, Wolfville; five great grandchildren, Emma, Hunter and Ethan Floris, Ryan and Kate Lombard; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Victor; a daughter, Donna Lombard; a step-son, William Parker; seven sisters, Ruth Morten, Gladys Beeler, Margaret Meisner, Hilda Woodworth, Mildred Dalton, Uta Dauphinee and Winnie Welding; six brothers, Starr, Harold, Howard, Earl, Phillip and Blake. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 2015 in First Cornwallis Baptist Church, Pastor Stephen Wheaton officiating. Burial will take place in the Jaw Bone Corner Cemetery, Upper Canard. Donations in memory may be made to First Cornwallis Baptist Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
