Wilson Somner Brown

Wilson Somner Brown - 76, of New Minas, formerly of Coldbrook, passed away Monday, June 8, 2015 at home. Born in Bridgewater, he was a son of the late Willard and Rita Brown. Wilson was employed as a Respiratory Therapist for 30 years, working in various hospitals, including St. Martha's, Victoria General and Blanchard Fraser Memorial. He is survived by three daughters, Linda Brown, Halifax; Deborah Harris, Red Deer, Alberta; Ginna Johnstone, Red Deer; two sons, Michael Brown, Saskatoon; Willard "Billy" Brown, New Minas; eight grandchildren, Joyce, Rebecca, Allison, Kelsey, Nicole, Bethan, Danielle and Amy; four great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Joyce Marshall. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 11, 2015 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. A private family burial will take place in the New Ross Baptist Church Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
