Madeline Grace MacDonald

Madeline Grace MacDonald - 95, of Kentville, formerly of Wolfville, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2015 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Hoyt, New Brunswick, she was a daughter of the late Marshall and Florence (Farr) Webb. She moved to Nova Scotia in 1952 with her husband and family. They lived in Sydney, New Glasgow, Canaan, Wolfville and Kentville. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who maintained a keen interest in her family. Mady enjoyed travelling, baking, sewing and spending time at the cottage at Murphy Lake. She also enjoyed being a homemaker, was a former member of the Canaan Good Neighbour Club and was affiliated with St. John's Anglican Church, Wolfville. She is survived by a daughter, Marina (John) DeWolfe, Kentville; a son, Wayne (Shirley), Coldbrook; five grandchildren, Jan (Robert) Houseman, Mark (Mi-Heon) MacDonald, Keri (Trevor) Best, Nicholas DeWolfe (Danielle Smith) and Tristan DeWolfe (Ashley Charnock); seven great grandchildren, Erin, Lauren, Cameron, Jocelyn, Alex, Gemma and Abigail; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas John MacDonald; a brother, Donald. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2015 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Deacon Ann Watson officiating. Burial will take place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Donations in memory may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Multiple Myeloma Society or the Valley Regional Hospital Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
