Amable Evariste Boudreau

Amable Evariste Boudreau - 94, of Kentville, formerly of Arichat, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville. Born at Cape Auguet he was a son of the late Albany and Martha (Gaudet) Boudreau. Amable was employed with Richmond County School Board as a maintenance worker until his retirement. He was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Kentville. He loved to carve and his folk-type works of art, from as small as a little bird to as large as replicas of churches and lighthouses, graced his home and the homes of others. Surviving is a brother, Gappy, Arichat; sons, Joseph (Susan) Napanee, Ontario; Patrick (Linda), Aldershot; daughter, Janet (Randy) Snow, Wilmot; six grandchildren, Kevin, Roschelle, Rick, Patrick, Michelle and Sheralee; 10 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Clara James; daughter, Judith, in infancy and 19 siblings. Special thanks to the staff at Evergreen Home for the love, attention and care given to dad. He became your "poppy" as well. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. A private family funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2015 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Father John MacPherson officiating. Interment will take place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Donations in memory may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
