Gerald Thomas Reid

Gerald Thomas Reid - 56, of Kentville, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late Darrah and Josephine (Fenton) Reid. He had been employed as a maintenance technician with Michelin, Waterville for 35 years. Gerald was a kind, compassionate and caring man, who gave of himself freely to anyone in need. He is survived by his wife, Jane (Spence); a daughter, Brandy, Falmouth; a son, Matthew, Kentville; two brothers, Junior (Cindy), Amherst; William, Springhill. He was predeceased by a brother, Reggie. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 3, 2015 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 4, 2015, Reverend Scott Prime officiating. Burial will take place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Donations in memory may be made to Teen Challenge Atlantic. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
