Allen Peter Foley

Allen Peter Foley - 70, of Kentville, passed away on June 24, 2015 in Calgary, Alberta. Born in England, he was a son of the later Allen B. and Eileen (Reynolds) Foley. He retired from the Canadian Armed Forces and later served with the Reserves. He was a member of the Canadian Guards Association and the Royal Canadian Legion, Kings Branch No. 6, Kentville. He was an avid golfer and worked at Ken-Wo Golf and Country Club for many years. He is survived by a daughter, Dawn (Steven) Geroni, Ontario; a son, Christopher, Ontario; a grandson, Nathan; six siblings, Jeff (Carol), Camrose, Alberta; Michael (Linda), Oxford; Gerald, Calgary, Alberta; Alayne (Randy) Cunningham, St. Albert, Alberta; Madeline Foley, Wetaskiwin, Alberta; Maureen Foley, Kentville; long-time friend, Carolyn Nicholson, Calgary; several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation, by request. A Royal Canadian Legion graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 24, 2015 in the Veteran's Plot of Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, Kings County. Family flowers only, by request.
