Layton E. Fulton

Layton E. Fulton - 74, of Kentville, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2015 in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. Born in Riverdale, Digby County, he was the son of the late Russell and Mary (Wagner) Fulton. He had been employed as an electrician with local electrical companies and had retired from the Kentville Research Station. He was a former member of the Kentville Volunteer Fire Department and was past president of the Kings County Amateur Radio Club. Layton's call sign was VE1 MT. He was a Ham Radio License Examiner and had taught Morse Code. He is survived by his wife of nearly 53 years, the former Glenice Ruth Gavel; one daughter, Rhonda (partner, Phillip Bailey) Fraser, Kentville; one grandson, Rowan (Xylia) Fraser, St. John's NFLD; three step-grandsons, Devin (Yanling) Fraser, Nanjing, China; Devon (partner, Tonia Fowler) Bailey, St. John's NFLD; Dylan (partner, Jessica Copp) Bailey, Kentville. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2015, in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2015, Lou Outhouse officiating. Burial will take place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill immediately following the funeral. Donations in memory may be made to the Special Care Unit or the Recreation Program of Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
