Myrtle A. Coffill

Myrtle A. Coffill - 105, of Delhaven, Kings County, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2015 in the Veteran's Unit of Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born on October 3, 1909, she was a daughter of the late Moore and Cora (Thorpe) Rogers. She was a member of the Pereau Baptist Church, the Blomidon Women's Institute and the former Blomidon Auxiliary. She was a Veteran of the Second World War, serving with the Merchant Marines. She enjoyed playing 45's, knitting and crocheting. She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy, Port Elgin, Ontario; a son, Robert, Berwick; eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Coffill; a daughter, Shirley Scott; an infant son, Roland; a sister, Maude Hazel; three brothers, Clayton, Dexter and Gerald. Visitation will be held from 1 - 3 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. The funeral service and reception will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2015 in Pereau Baptist Church, Reverend Mike Veenema and Reverend Gary Manthorne officiating. Burial will take place in the Pereau Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Pereau Baptist Church, the Arthritis Society or to a charity of your choice.
