Donald Edward Rockwell

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Donald Edward Rockwell, 84, of Kentville. He passed away peacefully at the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville on Thursday, May 18, 2017. Born in Wolfville, NS, he was the son of the late John Edward and Florence Winnifred Hazel "Winnie" Rockwell. He was retired and living in Kentville, NS for the past fifteen years. Donald is survived by his wife of 64 years, Elizabeth (Layton) Rockwell of Kentville. He will be sadly missed by sons, Bob (Keri) of Frisco, Texas; Jim (Louise) of Nackawic NB; Paul of Nackawic, NB; daughter, Nancy Parker (Darron), of Moncton, NB. He had five grandchildren, Jordan, Dillon, Chase, Adam and Melissa, and two great grandchildren. He is remembered by brother, Bill (Leona); sisters, Sandra Gertridge (Dalton) and Mary Lou Rockwell (Charles). Donald also is survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by daughter, Deborah and brother, Allison. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2017 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Ivan Norton officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family invites those wishing to remember Donald to make a donation in his name to a charity or organization of their choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
