Bruce E. Scott

Bruce E. Scott - age 81, of Kentville passed away at home on Sunday, July 2^nd 2017. He was the son of the late Frank and Grace (Stephens) Scott. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 56 years, Marilyn (Gillis) Scott; three children, Steve (Linda), Tina (Laurie) and Michelle (Richard); two grandchildren, Rachel (Kyle) and Andy; great grandchild, Carter; siblings, Fred (Phyllis), Don (Evelyn), Ruth Ann (Danny), Ken (Diane) and Nancy (Ron); many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Predeceased by his sister, Jean and brother-in-law, Joe. His many hobbies and interests included flying his airplane, carving and painting. Bruce was a businessman and had a strong passion for community service. He was heavily involved in his community of Canning where he was a founding member of the Canning Lions Club and the Glooscap Arena. He also spent many hours volunteering at the Food Bank. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service, by request. A private family graveside service will take place in the Canard Burial Ground, Canard, Kings County, Reverend Ivan Norton officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Canning Food Bank or the charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
