Bruce Leon Tibbitts

Bruce Leon Tibbitts

It is with profound sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of our "rock", our beloved husband, father and papa, Bruce Leon Tibbitts, also known as "Papa", "Tibbs", "Papa Tibbs", age 69, of Port Williams on October 2, 2019 in the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax. Born in Summerside, PEI, he was the son of the late George "Budd" Tibbitts and Elnora (Misner) Tibbitts. Bruce was an architect by trade and an avid wood working craftsman. He enjoyed designing, drawing and building houses and furniture, especially building things for his family and close friends. He loved spending time out in his work shop where he always had a project on the go. He also loved spending time with his family and his little dog Dexter, who was always by is side.  Bruce will be missed by anyone who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Kelly) Tibbitts, Port Williams;  daughter, Teresa (Trevor) New Minas; son, Travis (Anthony), Coldbrook; beloved granddaughters, Bailey (Matt), Port Lorne; Rylie, Coldbrook, Rylie’s mom, Shawna and Bailey’s dad, Andrew; sister, Sharon Cassack, Ontario, nephews, Greg and Rodney; nieces, Nicole and Monique; many other nieces and nephews; best friends, Brian (Ann) Cameron, Kentville and their son, Billy Cameron, Greenwich. There will be no visitation or funeral service at Bruce’s request. Instead, spend time with your own family and remember Bruce and the last time you saw him. Cremation has taken place and Bruce will come home with his family where he always wanted to be. In lieu of flowers, he would have wanted you to take your family out for dinner. Donations in memory may be made to the IWK - Cancer Research, or the SPCA of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
