Emma Kathleen "Kit" Cann

Emma Kathleen "Kit" Cann - age 95, of New Minas, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at home. Born in Port Maitland, she was the daughter of the late Forrester and Dorcas (Goudey) Durkee. She was a loving and kind mother, grandmother and great-grandmother as well as a great friend to many. She is survived by sons, Forrester (Beverly "Bev") Cann, New Minas; Tom (Joyce) Cann, Hantsport; grandchildren, Michael, Paul (Karen), Colleen (Scott), Paula (Derek), Katie (Richard), John (Tyler), Andrea (Dean) and Kevin (Joanne); great-grandchildren, Lillian, James, Serj, Kurt and Lauren. She was predeceased by her husband, Hugh Bernley Cann. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation, by request.  A reception celebrating the life of Kit Cann will be held from 1-3 p.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2019 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville.  Burial will take place at a later date. Family flowers only, by request. Donations in memory may be made to the IWK Foundation or the Beaver River Baptist Church.
