Dale Morley Jodrey

Dale Morley Jodrey - age 81, of Wolfville, formerly of Hantsport, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 in the QEII Health Science Centre, VG Site, Halifax. Born in Wolfville, he was son of the late Roy Jodrey and Hilda (Millett) (Jodrey) Higgin. Dale was a salesman for 25 years with British Columbia Packers. He had a great sense of humour, was proud of his Gaspereau roots and enjoyed golfing, painting and gardening. He was a dedicated family man who loved his family, his wife, children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Beverley (Oake), Wolfville; daughter, Jill Jodrey (Rudolph van Vuuren), Stilbaai, South Africa; son, Robert (Monica) Jodrey, Bedford; grandchildren, Ana, Lauren, Matthew and Luke; sister, Joan (Merle) Carey, Hantsport; sister-in-law, Betty Jodrey, Wolfville; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his twin sister, Dawn Croft and brother, Gerald. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2020 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2020 in the Gaspereau Baptist Church, Reverend Gary Manthorne officating. A private family burial will take place in the Gaspereau Cemetery followed by a reception to be held in the Gaspereau Community Centre. Family flowers only, by request. Donations in memory of Dale may be made to the Alzheimer Society. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
