Marie "Annette" Ball

Marie "Annette" Ball - age 101, of Kentville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Meteghan, NS on December 28, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Lorette (Robicheau) Aymar. Annette moved to Kentville at age 18 and became a successful member of the Kentville Business Community, owning a beauty salon for over 40 years and later in life turning her talents to a career in real estate. Annette’s family and friends were the most important aspects of her life and large family gatherings were a true source of happiness. She was a life-long member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Parish and a member of the Catholic Women’s League, Kentville. Annette was a true force of nature, was loved and will be missed. She is survived by five sons, David (Sheila), Chipman Corner; Richard, Kentville; Stephen, Halifax; Peter (Cathy), Kentville; Christopher (Donna), Truro; one daughter, Michelle, Halifax; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren; two brothers, James and George Aymar, both of Meteghan. She is predeceased by her husband, Wilson "Bud" Ball; daughter-in-law, Valeria (Stephen), Halifax and four sisters, Stella Sarsfield, Kentville; Ruth Manahan, Ontario; Bertha Donat, Truro; Doris Tonery, Manchester, NH. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation, by request.  The funeral service, followed by a reception, will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2020 in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Kentville, Father Keith Billard officiating. Burial will take place in the Serenity Gardens Cemetery, Centreville. Family flowers only, by request. Donations in Annette’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
