Leslie Leigh Jordan

1954-2020

Leslie Leigh Jordan

Leslie Leigh Jordan (Nichols) – (October 1, 1954 – March 10, 2020), of Port Williams, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 65, after battling pancreatic cancer. Leslie was a caring, loving person who had a deep love of her family and enjoyed being with her friends. She was a long time employee of the Provincial Government Law Courts in Kentville. Born in Seaforth, Ontario, to the late Roderick and Sophia "Patricia" (Kowal) Nichols, Leslie was fortunate to live in many places in Canada and Europe, as her father was in the Armed Forces. Leslie loved the outdoors, spending many hours in her garden and relaxing at the old camp where she enjoyed kayaking and fishing on the lake. Leslie developed her love of horses in Europe – as she and Shelley rode to the stables on her moped. Leslie also played the piano and guitar, learned weaving and intarsia, a form of wood inlaying similar to marquetry. She also collected magazines and books relevant to her interests. Leslie was a multi-talented person and so very humble about her talents. One of her favourite pastimes was riding her Friesen mare, Martina. Leslie also enjoyed watching the antics of the many dogs she was mum to over the years. Leslie is survived by her husband, Neil; stepson, Jason; brothers, Brian (Lynne Campbell), Dartmouth and Mark (Sherry), Arizona; sisters, Gail (Richard Cherry), Florida; and Shelley (Garry Baltzer), Tancook; several nieces and nephews. Leslie will be deeply missed by all that knew her but take comfort knowing God has gained one more precious angel. The family would like to thank all involved in her care, her oncology doctors and nurses, paramedics, palliative care nurses and the VON. Visitation will take place on Sunday, March 15, 2020 from 1-3 p.m. in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
