Paula Marlene Lockhart

Paula Marlene Lockhart – 55, of New Minas, passed away Monday, March 9, 2020 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Bathurst, NB, she was a daughter of Elizabeth "Betty" (Scott) Garrett, Bathurst and the late Melvin Garrett. Paula was employed with Shoppers Drug Mart, Wolfville as a pharmacy technician. She was a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed walking, especially with Derrick, loved her cat, Lucy and was a fan of the Montreal Canadiens. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 34 years, Derrick; a son, Keith (Alexa) Lockhart, Orleans, ON; two sisters, Lois (Neil) Lewis, Florida; Brenda Garrett, Bathurst; two brothers, Robert (Pauline) and Blair (Annette), both of Bathurst; nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by a sister, Diane (Dale) Doucet. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2020 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Ivan Norton officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Bathurst. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Valley Regional Hospital. In addition, special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the QEII Health Sciences Centre, VG Site, Halifax, especially the Hematology Department. Donations in memory may be made to the Valley Hospice Foundation. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
