Nancy Elizabeth Logue

Nancy Elizabeth (Sutherland) Logue - age 80, of Wolfville, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax. Born in Liverpool, NS, she was a daughter of the late Leslie and Leona (MacKenzie) Sutherland.

Nancy graduated from Acadia University in 1959, the same year she married her husband, Jim. She was a varsity athlete and scholar and was inducted into the Acadia University Athletics Hall of Fame for her talents. After graduating from university, Nancy was a school teacher for several years, before dedicating her life to taking care of her family and managing her husband’s dental office. She was an exceptional wife, mother and grandmother and continued to live a very active lifestyle throughout her life.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Dr. Jim Logue; daughters, Terrie Logue (Paul Smith), Jana Logue-Arbou (Gordon), Lori Logue (Eric Storr) and Kim LaGue (Henry "Chip"); siblings, John Sutherland (Ruth) and Sara McGinley (Desmond); grandchildren, Emma (Craig), James (Maggie), Jacob (Jenna), Nancy-Alex (Gabriel), Jaclyn, Colm, Kaitlyn (Brody), Jazmin (Brad) and Maggie (Sean); great-grandchildren, Leo and Violet; and her beloved fur baby, Ollie.

Cremation has taken place.  There will be no visitation by request. A private funeral service will take place in White Family Funeral Home Chapel, Kentville.  Donations in memory of Nancy may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Truro Chapter Autism Nova Scotia or a charity of the donor’s choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
