Ryszard Jan Palczynski

Ryszard Jan Palczynski, 79, passed away suddenly in Wolfville on April 1, 2020. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Krystyna, his daughter Magda and son-in-law Bruno Vander Cruyssen. Ryszard was born in Czarze, Poland, emigrating with his family to Canada via Nigeria in August 1982. He was a PhD engineer and started his Nova Scotian career as a professor at Acadia University and then had a long career in the private sector. At the time of his passing he was still working in a consulting capacity. Ryszard loved travelling and visited all the corners of the world, especially Europe and Asia, with his family. He had a great appreciation of life and adventure, and loved to bike and walk. He was a keen cook and his love of mushrooms was only surpassed by the love for his family. He will be greatly missed by them and his friends. Ryszard is predeceased by his father Jan, mother Maria and brother Stanislaw. A funeral service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
