John Graydon Bennett

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of John Graydon Bennett, at home on Saturday April 18, 2020 at age of 55. He was born October 28, 1964 in Wolfville. He was predeceased by his mother Avril Rowe (Bennett). He is survived by his father, Ron Bennett, Hope, BC and his Common-Law partner, Marchell Lynk; Step-Daughter, Ashley Lynk (Alex); In-laws, Clarence and Debbie Lynk; Brother-in-law, Mark Lynk (Lisa); Nieces and Nephews, Tazz Lynk (Amber), Selena Lynk (Alex) and Hayden Lynk; great niece, Brinley Hazel and many other extended family. John was in the military for a brief time then became an employee at Xerium (Weavexx) for 33 years, this is where he first was involved with the union before becoming the president of Local 864. He was very compassionate, kind, caring and loving. He always very generous and always willing to lend a hand to those who needed help around the community. He was involved in many volunteer organizations, Open Arms, Free Masons, Scouts Canada and many more. John loved all animals, especially his dogs and grand dogs. He loved his Jeep, being outdoors in his wood lot and enjoyed being the life of the party. John’s family meant everything to him. He will be sadly missed by all the family members, especially at the Lynk Family BBQ’s and by all that had the pleasure of knowing him. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation by request. A celebration of John’s life will be held at a later date. Donations came be made to Open Arms and the Nova Scotia SPCA. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
