Allan Russell Dill

Allan Russell Dill - age 69, of Kentville, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 25, 2020 at home with his wife Carol by his side. Born in Kentville he was the son of the late Russell and Janet (Newlands) Dill. Allan enjoyed camping, playing crib, washer toss and going for drives in his car with his wife, Carol. Allan also enjoyed having a few beers with his friends and family. Anyone that knew Allan knew that his famous saying was, "It will cost you five bucks." Allan worked for Great Valley Juices after which he was employed by Maple Leaf Foods from where he retired. Allan is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carol (Parker); children, Angela Dill (Simon Adkins), Newport Corner; James (Megan Leslie), Hortonville; Connie (Tony Mailman), Kentville; brother, Terry (Pam) Kentville; sister, Connie Dill (Bruce Belliveau), Greenwood; grandchildren, Lexie Saunders, Lorieann Saunders, Caitlin Adkins, Rebecca Mailman, Hayley Mailman, Jesse Dill, Geofrey Dill, Mariah Dill; great granddaughter, Mia Monaghan; several nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Dr. Sinclair and the VON Palliative Care Team for their care and compassion over the last couple of weeks as well as to many family, friends and good neighbours for their support throughout this time. Cremation has taken place, there will be no visitation or funeral at this time. The family will be having a celebration of Allan's life at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to VON Annapolis Valley or the Meadowview Community Centre, Kentville. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
