Isabel Matilda Dominey

1929-2020

Isabel Matilda Dominey

August 31, 1929 - April 28, 2020

Isabel Matilda Dominey, age 90, of Kentville, formerly of Coldbrook, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 in the Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville. Born in Bridgewater, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Laliah (Johnstone) Frank. Isabel enjoyed walking around the gardens, going for drives, playing cards and working on her many crafts, including knitting and plastic canvas, just to name a few. She enjoyed these, but her family was her life. Isabel would do anything for us. She really loved her birthday parties at Sylvia and Don’s and she also enjoyed seeing the babies that would come in to see her. Isabel would immediately reach out to take them into her arms. She is survived by daughters, Gertrude (Phillip) Dryden, Somerset; Sylvia (Donald) Yorke, Black Rock; Dorothy (Robert) Creemer, Lakeville; Janet (Anthony) Fredericks, Waterville; sons, Fred (Jacqueline), North Alton; David (Cheryl), Kentville; William (Bernice), Welsford; Cecil (Cindy), Lakeville; Christopher (Ruth), Coldbrook; step-son, Leslie (Hazel Johnson), Hampton, NB; sisters, Lillie Veinotte, Kentville; Ida Kane, Lakewood Road; Jennie (Edward Davey), Vancouver; brother, Frederick (Wilma) Frank, Blockhouse; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, James; daughter, Cindy, grandson, Andrew and sister, Rose Thibeau. Due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, an online funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 4, 2020 and can be accessed by visiting www.whitefamilyfuneralhome.com. Burial will take place in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville, Kings County.
