Alisa Marie (Sawler) Thomson

Alisa Marie (Sawler) Thomson, age 44, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2020 after a lengthy illness. Born in Kentville on December 2, 1975 she was a daughter of Robert (Josette) Sawler of Baxter’s Harbour and Valerie (Gerald) Woodworth of Kingston; and common law spouse of John Penny. Alisa loved animals, especially dogs. She enjoyed spending time outside and going camping. She lived for her children and was so proud of them and her greatest accomplishment in life was being their mother. In addition to her parents and spouse, she is survived by her children, Michael (Kelsey) of Clare; Austin, Gage and Jayden, all of Kentville and Destiny of Middleton; brother, Jamie (Holly) Sawler of New Minas; uncle, Scott (Orlene) Coldwell of Aylesford Lake; aunt, Nancy Hurren of Kentville; grandmother, Sheila Clahane Campbell of New Minas; as well as a special mention of her very favourite aunt, Freda Bishop (predeceased). She was also predeceased by her baby boy, Dominic in 2003. There will be no visitation by request. A private graveside service will take place at Elm Grove Cemetery at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to Diabetes Canada (NS) or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
