Lorraine Marion Murray

Lorraine Marion Murray - It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our mom, Lorraine Marion (Case) Murray on July 31, 2020, one day after celebrating her 100^th birthday. Born and raised in Saint John, New Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late John and Louise (Dooley) Case. She was a graduate of Saint John High School, Mount Carmel and later worked for Jones-Schofield prior to her marriage. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Mom enjoyed playing bridge and knitting for both the church and hospital. She is survived by her children, Wayne (Gail) Murray, Paul (Louise) Murray and Cathy (Frank) MacMillan; grandchildren, Jeff (Jennifer) Murray, Colleen (Fred) Williams, Jessica (Shaun) Sharpe, Mike (Melissa) MacMillan and Patrick MacMillan; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank "Chum" Murray; twin brothers, John and Ernest Case; several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation by request. A private funeral service will be held. An on-line video webcast of the service will be available at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2020. No flowers by request. A heartfelt thanks to Mike and Yiwen Walsh and the staff of Wedgewood House for the exceptional care provided to mom. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Red Cross.
