Marjorie Jenette Porter

Marjorie Jenette (Keddy) Porter – 90, of Port Williams, Kings County, passed away peacefully, Sunday, August 2, 2020 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Port Williams (Town Plot) on October 29, 1929, she was the youngest daughter of the late Joseph and Elsie (Turner) Keddy and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Until her retirement, Marjorie worked at ACA Egg Grading in Port Williams. She enjoyed many road trips to many places, jam sessions and a good card game with family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, John "Jack"; son, Philip (Cheryl), Port Williams; daughter, Ann Clarke, Alberta; grandchildren, Jennifer Clarke, Amanda "Mandie" Clarke (Justin Cogswell), Devin Clarke and Cameron Clarke; two great grandchildren, Alice and Oakley; sister-in-law, Mary Keddy, Port Williams; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Blanche Messom, Winnie Myles and Marguerite Benjamin; brothers, Lawrence, Lester, Andrew "Bob", Foster, Harvey, Harry, Ronald and David. There will be no visitation. A private funeral service will be held in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Maya Bevan officiating. Burial will follow in St. John’s Anglican Cemetery, Church Street, Port Williams. Donations in memory may be made to the charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
