Earl Russell Martin

Earl Russell Martin, 61, of Kentville, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, September 3, 2020 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, after a courageous fight with liver disease. Born in Kentville, he was a son of the late Esther (Crocker) and Garnet "Bun" Martin. Earl was a well known and loved cab driver for over 28 years, making countless friends along the way. He loved his Robin’s coffee, playing darts, long drives and AC/DC. He is survived by his wife, Ann Marie (Corbin); two daughters, Emily (Andrew Prall), Aylesford and Darcy (Daniel) Bourgeois, Windsor;  his "pride and joy" grandson, Odin; step-grandsons, Chandler and Blayz; three sisters, Nancy (Frank) MacCumber, Edmonton, AB, Tracey Martin (Garnet Aalders), Aylesford, Kelly (Mark) Bishop, Edmonton, AB; three brothers, Ron (Ruth) Martin, Coldbrook, David (Carla) Martin, Airdrie, AB and Larry (Candy) Martin, Kentville; his mother and father in-law, Penny and Gary Corbin, Kentville; brother in-law, Paul (Penney) Corbin, Kentville; many nieces and nephews.  Earl will also be missed by his much-loved canine companions, Caper and Angus.  He was predeceased by two sisters, Phyllis Spencer and Judy Martin. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation by request. Friends and family are welcome to attend a public graveside service at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, Reverend Devin Johnstone officiating. Following the service, the family will be hosting a reception to be held in the Meadowview Community Center. Donations in memory may be made to the Liver Foundation of Canada. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
